Summer BBQ

The first 'official' weekend of summer started the season out perfectly. Good neighbors, good food, good times!

All of the neighbors pitched in with tents, tables, chairs, and of course... FOOD!

The big daddy of all grills. So big that you need a truck to move it! And it's awesome to have a chef for your neighbor, he cooked so many amazing things, what a generous man.

Doesn't just the picture make your mouth water? It's the epitomy of summer right there.

The Master Chef himself! Thanks again, Larry. You went above and beyond the "bringing something to share to the party." You WERE the party!

Mouth was too full to smile all the way, but she was having a good ol' time! I think every weekend should consist of something like this, these kids were TIRED by the end of it!

She had the best seat at the party, poor girl. I hope her foot heals quickly because there's some great babysitting opportunities in her future!

There were many faces that were missed in this crowd tonight. It was a good time had by all, the night ended with a beautiful sunset, perfect weather, and star gazing with Google Skymap, too cool! A few shooting stars, a few s'mores, and full bellies rolled home, I'm so grateful for the good neighbors surrounding each other. Thank you for contributing, and thank you for growing friendships!

Happy Summer!

Block Part-ay

It's almost time for some summer fun. Everyone has been suggesting that we do this for a long time, it's finally on everyone's calender (right?! I hope so!)

Now let's hope the weather cooperates for us to get together for some FUN this time!

Let's get our grub on, bring a bib if you must, because I have heard rave reviews about Larry's smoked pork bbq, we're so excited that he offered to cook this for us.

Bring a dish of something that you love, to share with everyone. Paper plates and utinsels will be available for everyone. If you want any other kind of meat, bring some and throw it on the grill!

The young kids in the neighborhood can play to their heart's content while we mingle, eat, and enjoy ourselves.

And don't worry! Our awesome officers that attended our last meeting will maybe come and join the party, and also do some frequent patrols so we can relax and enjoy the great neighborhood that we all work so hard to cultivate. (But between you and me, I think they're just coming for the food *wink )

Hope to see y'all next Saturday, June 25th starting at 6:30, until the cows come home.
